There has been a significant change in your home that you may not have noticed.
The electricity in your plug socket is no longer coming from coal, the polluting fossil fuel that powered our economy for decades during the industrial revolution.
Now, it is being generated by cleaner sources such as gas, renewable, and nuclear power.

But that is about to change.
The Climate Change Committee (CCC), the country’s climate advisers, have stated in new advice that greenhouse gas emissions need to decrease by 87% by 2040.
One third of these emissions reductions will need to come from choices made by households.
