Morton Fraser has launched a new, enhanced free Employment Law iPhone app for employers and human resource specialists.

The Edinburgh-based law firm’s Employment Team is the first in the UK to roll out such an app and has described this latest IOS 7.0-compatible technology as its next generation version.

Head of Morton Fraser's Employment Team, Innes Clark, said: “We have received great feedback in relation to our original app and I am delighted with the enhanced features offered by the new app. We are innovative in the way that we provide advice and information to our clients and we believe the app adds added value to the service we offer human resource professionals and business owners.”

The app, which has been developed in collaboration with Stockton-On-Tees-based R2b Media Ltd, is free to download and is responsively designed for iPhone and iPad.

Features include:

• Resources: the area where you can find the very latest information on a wide variety of employment related topics. These include national minimum wage rates, employment tribunal award limits, redundancy and disciplinary guides plus links to further in depth data held on the Morton Fraser website. You can also access a 'Fingertip guide to Employment Law in Scotland, England and Wales' and an 'Employment Law timeline'.

• HR calculators: calculators are a brand new feature of the app providing you with figures for maternity pay, unfair dismissal awards, and statutory redundancy payments.

• HR documents: an innovative feature of this app is the interactive option for users to start completion of documents, including contracts of employment, disciplinary/grievance procedures and an equal opportunities policy. Each document can be tailored to your organisation's needs by completing the fields set out on the app and submitting this. For a fixed fee you will be provided with a document tailored to your organisation's need plus guidance notes.

• E-news, social, broadcast: this feature rich app also delivers a monthly e-news bulletin to keep you fully up to date with all employment law matters. You can also connect with Morton Fraser and specific members of the team via Twitter and Linkedin as well as visit the firm's Facebook page. The app also has video and podcast links providing useful tutorials and updates on specific topical items.

The app can be downloaded by searching for ‘MF HR Mobile’ in the Apple App Store.
