Council survey to tackle energy costs

Published: 18 Jul 2013 09:30

FIFE Council is planning to help businesses in the Kingdom tackle rising fuel costs by looking at ways of reducing fuel bills and driving down carbon emissions.

It says that reducing energy costs is a concern for businesses both large and small and is urging organisations to complete its survey on heating in their premises to help compile the information needed to establish whether it's feasible to develop a series of district heating networks throughout Fife.

The Council claims district heating networks offer the potential to buy energy at competitive prices so businesses can save money, reduce their environmental impact and help generate income.
